"I would recommend Next Step to anyone moving to NYC. Victoria Scott was my agent and she could not have been more helpful! She really helped me understand the different parts of the city and why certain neighborhoods and building types were better than others. I moved to NY from the south, so I knew very little about places to live in Manhattan, and even less about the process of finding a lease in the city. Next Step handled all of this. Victoria told me all of the paperwork I would need to give to my landlord so we could be approved for our lease the day we visited the city. Further, Victoria asked my roommate and me various questions about what we wanted in an apartment--price, # of bedrooms, high rise/walk-up, doorman, etc. When we arrived in NY, she showed us about 8 eligible places in 3-4 hours. We signed a lease that day. The process was painless. Truly a great service."

"I am relocating from California for work and a couple of my coworkers had used Next Step in their relocations as well. I worked with Katie who was absolutely great to work with. She asked me a few questions about what I was looking for and responded to all my questions really quickly, even when they were emailed over pretty late for Eastern time. I only had a day for viewings and Katie lined up some really great places that fit what I was looking for. In between viewings, Katie told me about the area, as well as helped me really figure out what I liked and didn't like about the various apartments. When I found a place I really liked, she helped me with all the necessary paperwork and helped me land the place when we found that someone else had also made an offer for the apartment. I had a great experience and would (and already have) recommended Next Step to other people moving to New York."

"I am a recent graduate who was searching for my first real NYC apartment. I'd heard a lot about Next Step from brand ambassadors at my university, so I decided to give it a shot about two days before I was flying into the city to apartment search. I had seen that the broker fee was 13.5% instead of the typical 15%, which made it even more recent grad-friendly. From the beginning, Next Step really listened to what qualities I was looking for in an apartment. Both a client relations member and Katie, contacted me to get as much information as possible to ensure that the apartments they could get matched exactly what I wanted, and they put everything together really fast since I was only in town for a few days. Katie showed me a great variety of apartments that matched all of my criteria, and was very friendly and a pleasure to spend the day with! I ended up finding my apartment that same day, which I hadn't even thought was possible. She was also very helpful during the application process and addressed all of the many questions I had until the very end. She was also really great at following-up to keep me updated on the status of all my paperwork, and she was also able to get me a pro-rated first month since I didn't need to move in until the 2nd week into January. I'm just about to move into my new apartment, and I'm so happy with my decision to have used Next Step and would definitely recommend the agency, and Katie, to anyone searching for an apartment.
