"Transferring over from the UK, I had never worked with a broker before and did not know what to expect. Also being in a new city, I wanted to make sure I found the right place to settle down. Next Step couldn’t have been better. Over our initial phone call, Meena asked me numerous questions as to what I was looking for, location, what I wanted in a property and what I absolutely did not – I had a very clear idea of what I was looking for but was very flexible on location. With that in mind, Meena and the team drove me all over town and had really listened to my specifics. I was so impressed with the options they provided and the thoroughness with which Next Step researched the properties. The other issue I had was that as an international relocation, my US paperwork and credit rating were very weak but Meena worked incredibly hard to make sure my credentials weren’t a problem and was very diligent in making sure we had everything we needed for a prospective landlord. All their hard work paid off. I’m now settled in the perfect flat and perfect location. It was a great experience and if were I to move again, I would undoubtedly go back to Next Step. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough!! "

"My roommate and I only had one day to view apartments and then make a decision. Victoria set up a viewing of a large amount of apartments all in one day after we had contacted Next Step last minute, and we were able to see a variety of apartments throughout our price range. Victoria also was able to help us out by coordinating with the landlord after we had some logistical issues. We really appreciate all her help!"

"I recently moved from the Midwest to NY to start a job at a law firm. I am not from a large city and was overwhelmed by the prospect of a search. Next Step, Michelle specifically, was amazing. I gave her a good idea of what I was looking for, and Michelle came up with great options. She respected my price range and the amenities/locations I was looking for. "My girlfriend and I were making the move from DC to New York so I could start my new job at Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Navigating the complexities of the New York housing market was like nothing we had ever experienced, and we would have been totally lost without the amazing professionals at Next Step! We had some very specific accessibility requirements, and our agent Meena, really listened to what we needed. We only had one day to come look at apartments, and Meena showed us 10 places that were all within budget and met all of our needs. We ended up choosing a place on the Upper West Side (our desired neighborhood) that has a ton of character, space, and is perfect for my daily commute - something we didn’t think was possible on our budget in New York. Meena had coordinated our paperwork with us ahead of time, so when we went to the leasing agent, it was a smooth process that ended with us getting our dream apartment.
