"I just finished moving to NYC from Minneapolis. The prospect of finding an apartment in a competitive rental market while living across the country was a little daunting, so I am glad I hired Next Step Realty to find my new home. Meena, my broker, spent over an hour on our first phone call to get a sense of why type of residence and neighborhood I was looking for. She was a great listener, and she made sure that I understood the next steps in the process and what paperwork was needed for NYC landlords. On the day of the viewing, we found my apartment in about 3 to 4 hours. Meena did a great job of staying within budget and finding a range of different apartments - each of which met my criteria. Even though thought the apartment I decided on was an "open listing", hiring Next Step was worth it. I wouldn't have had the time or talent to vet all of the apartments we saw, book viewings, and organize all the paperwork. Next Step and Meena were able to condense what could have taken weeks into a matter of hours. I am definitely glad I hired Next Step for my apartment search."

"Very professional, full-service brokerage. Meena was given a tough task: we have a pit bull and a commuting constraint since one of us works in NJ. Nevertheless, she found several newer luxury apartments that satisfied our criteria and which, because they were newer, offered concessions that made them more affordable. Getting an apartment in NYC is really difficult due to the financial background checks and all that - Meena and Next Step more generally were very helpful with that. Definitely a great experience"

"My two roommates and I were thrilled with our Next Step experience -- Sarah was super professional while also being warm and honest with us throughout the whole experience. She picked out a great range of apartments, and although we would've preferred seeing some places in a lower price range or some outside of Manhattan (e.g., Queens which is totally on the come-up), we wound up in an apartment that perfectly balances all three of our needs. The process went really smoothly and having a car take us around was probably the biggest draw -- we didn't have to worry about transportation at all and were able to visit a variety of neighborhoods. "I have found both of my NYC apartments through Next Step and I have an endless supply of good things to say. My first apt I found on my first outing. My second apartment was with my boyfriend, and we had a very difficult list of must haves. That being said, our amazing agent took us to MANY places, and after an unsuccessful day out she didn't give up on us (despite being difficult) ! She found us our unicorn apartment within a week after our outing, and we are so thankful!
