First time moving to NYC from CA during the middle of COVID, I relied on my Next Step Realty agent to really weigh in on the pros / cons of each neighborhood. My agent Victoria, was helpful in this regard and had great insights for each neighborhood, often down to the specific street. This helped refine my search criteria, given most of an out-of-towner’s research is done via the internet or relying on generalizations. In addition, she was responsive and collaborative and had all the qualities you’d expect from a great agent.

First time mover to NYC and I could not have imagined doing this without the exceptional help of Victoria and the Next Step Realty team. From the onset of the interactions, the emails and personal connections were genuine in putting our needs as clients and future tenants at the top of mind. Connecting with Victoria was fast, easy, and she was able to immediately pick up on our wants, needs, and nonnegotiables. Meeting with her day of the viewings was made simpler and more effective through the car service, and although we saw 9 units in one day, it felt like the time flew. As promised, we found THE ONE in a single day, and Victoria was available around the clock and in constant contact with the leasing manager to ensure that we were first in line and last to sign for our space. Next Step was a great partner for finding a new home! My girlfriend and I moved from SF to NYC - as we weren't familiar with the area we didn't know exactly what we wanted.
Meena was excellent and took all our needs into account. She showed us a ton of options on our first day and was a wealth of knowledge about the housing process, New York neighborhoods, and the best spots to grab a bite to eat/drink. We didn't find we loved on the first day and Meena was patient and understanding. She took us out again the next day and we found a place we loved. Highly recommend.
